Privacy policy
This policy explains what data HowPaano collects, why it collects it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
What we collect
You are not asked to create an account, and no form on this site requests your name, email address or phone number. When you request a page, our server records the ordinary things a web server records: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. That log is used for security and for measuring site speed, and it is deleted after 30 days.
Cookies
HowPaano sets no tracking cookies of its own. Your theme choice (light or dark)
is kept in your browser using localStorage. It stays on your device
and is never transmitted to us.
Google AdSense and third-party advertising
This site may display advertising through Google AdSense. Where it does:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
We do not control the cookies Google sets, and we have no access to the data they collect.
Your rights
This site is operated from the Philippines and is subject to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). If you are in the European Economic Area or in California, you also have the right to request access to or deletion of your personal data. Because we store no information that identifies you, there is usually nothing to retrieve or delete, but we will answer any request.
Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Content is stored on a server inside the European Union and backed up daily.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
